Model Specialty 0623-6 $199
Related to its cousin @ 0623--5, This putter has a more contemporary shape and a bit larger planform. Also, it is special because it is crafted from Wenge(wen-gay), an incredibly popular African hardwood which has excellent strength and hardness properties and is favored for its dark brown, sometimes black, color. Sometimes used as a substitute for ebony. It is very durable, but can be difficult to work with, which means that J had to put in some overtime on this one! His craftsmanship paired the Wenge with Lacewood (with its flattering characteristic "flecks") in north-south segments, which aid in lining up the face perpendicular to the ball. Note the brass aiming dot for simplicity. Taken together… marvelous!!
