A brilliant combination of two vibrant woods in the same package…Padauk and Purpleheart!  The Maple “stripes” reveal their natural heartwood markings,  the brass aiming dot finishes “the look”, and the heft adds to the perfect pendulum swing.  Padauk has frequently been featured in history from Pullman railroad car paneling  to the cups and chalices of Kings Louis XV and Louis XVI, to the temple pillars of King Solomon.  Padauk grows in tropical climates such as India, Indochina, the South Pacific, West Africa, and even southern Florida. Purpleheart is found in Central America and tropical South America, from Mexico to southern Brazil. Its most common in the Amazon basin, and also grows in Colombia, Guyana, Surinam, and Venezuela.  Its pale red when freshly cut, but ages to a rich red color and eventually to the vivid and well-known purple color.  A putter with history yet!
