This putter is in the “Specialty” category because it is special…a  more contemporary shape.  Also, it is special because it is crafted from Kingwood a relatively rare wood, closely related to Rosewood.  It got its name from the preference by several Kings (Louis XIV and Lousi XV) in the 17th and 18th centuries. Now it is sourced from Brazil and sometimes Mexico.  It is extremely stiff , strong, and stable and is among the densest of all rosewoods with a very high dried weight and density, making it difficult to work (J spent some extra time on this one!).  This putter is crafted with Kingwood and Maple, in north-south segments which aid in lining up the face perpendicular to the ball. Note the brass aiming dot for simplicity.  Taken together…stunning!
